What cookies are

Small files a site stores in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work at all; the rest count visits and help us see what gets read. Alongside them we use your browser's local storage, whose entries are never sent anywhere and exist only on your device.

Our rule

Until you have answered the question in the banner, we load no counters at all. Not "set them and honour your choice afterwards": with no consent stored, the Google and Yandex scripts are not on the page and not one request goes out to them.

Closing the banner is not consent. Consent means clicking accept, or setting the categories yourself.

Necessary — always on

They remember your language prompt and your cookie answer itself. Without them the site cannot know you have already answered, and would ask again on every page. They need no consent because the service does not work without them.

• bridgeit-cookie-consent (local storage) — your answer in the banner, and its date. Kept until you clear your browser.
• locale-nudge-dismissed (local storage) — the language prompt is dismissed. Kept until you clear your browser.

Analytics — only with your consent

How many people arrive, from where, which pages they read, how far they scroll. The data is useful in aggregate, not by name.

Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC), running in Consent Mode v2 — every storage type denied by default until you say otherwise.

• _ga — device identifier. Kept 2 years.
• _ga_<property id> — session state. Kept 2 years.

Yandex Metrica (Yandex LLC). Session recording (Webvisor) is deliberately switched off.

• _ym_uid — visitor identifier. Kept 1 year.
• _ym_d — date of first visit. Kept 1 year.
• _ym_isad — whether an ad blocker is present. Kept 1 year.

Marketing — not in use

The category exists in the settings panel, but there are no advertising tags or pixels on this site today. If that changes, this document changes with it, the revision is raised, and the banner asks again.

Changing your answer

The "Cookie settings" link in the footer of any page opens the banner again. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it: one click, the same panel. You can also turn cookies off in your browser, but the necessary ones go with them, and the site will ask on every visit.

Changes

If the list of counters or categories changes, the date at the top is updated and any previously stored answer is treated as void — consent is given to a specific list, not indefinitely to any list.
